I record live onto old good quality tapes as one off releases for people who like tape. I re-use and recycle to help to reduce waste resources. The tapes are one off sessions of my live studio work. If you honestly value underground concepts and you are not caught up in an expensive vinyl buying trip then you might understand my thinking. I buy my tapes at thrift shops from deceased estates. These tapes are in very good condition, close to new. I clean all the tapes by hand. I clean my tape heads regularly. I monitor my record settings very closely. Shipping costs and plant reproduction costs are expensive, what are you paying for? support the underground artist not the big companies.
